My clients added 1,000 square feet to their 1937 split-level home, doubling the size of the kitchen, adding a TV room and small powder room off the new kitchen, and adding a new master bedroom and bathroom. I consulted on the architectural drawings and building materials and then selected paint colors and flooring for the kitchen, family room, and master suite, and finishes for the kitchen and bathrooms. We used Ann Sacks tile throughout and all new lighting.
Both husband and wife were so thrilled with the progress of their new design, they decided to update the existing part of the house and hired me to choose paint colors for the living room, dining room, and original bedrooms—and then for the exterior of the home. Benjamin Moore paint was used on the exterior, with an earthy but bright scheme to accentuate the architectural charm of this 1930s bungalow.
